Opportunities to meet others and have fun whilst learning a new skill
“I went to ballet as a child and wasn’t sure how I would feel going back as an adult but Beth puts you at ease straightaway. She is very patient and relaxed. The classes are well structured and my balance and posture have certainly improved. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere. We have a lot of fun while working hard.’”

Improves Co-ordination
Ballet builds the skill of physical coordination. Through dance we can learn to move the body with skill, grace and control.
Expressing Yourself
Ballet is a wonderful vehicle for self-expression. Dancing gives us a way of expressing ourselves through movement that can be deeply fulfilling and enjoyable.
Improves Memory
Learning sequences of complex Ballet movements improves focus, concentration and memory skills.
Stress Release
Ballet increases levels of the feel-good hormone Serotonin. This can reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Greater fitness, coordination and bodily awareness can improve self-confidence and esteem.
Improves Core Strength
Ballet improves the core strength of the body. Greater core strength improves balance, posture and stability. Increasing core strength significantly reduces the risk of injury.
Flexibility
Through increased stretching and weight-bearing exercises, muscles become longer, leaner, stronger and more resistant to tearing or strains.
